Our standard automatic water softener systems feature a time clock, a model 255 Autotrol control valve, a 32,000 grain capacity tank, bypass valve, turbulator, and a brine tank with safety float and salt grid.
We can upgrade your standard water softener to a GE model 760 logix, metered head, that will regenerate based on water usage. This will save 25% to 35% on water and salt, compared to the standard time clock. These water conditioners will backwash based upon the total number of gallons used, reducing backwash frequency.
Another frequently used water softener is "The Sanitizer." This water softener can soften water, remove iron, raise pH, and eliminate odor with just a single unit.
Our standard acid neutralizers are 2 cubic feet and feature a time clock, a model 263 Autotrol control valve, bypass valve, and a one inch distributor. If levels are lower than 7.0 pH, the water will deteriorate the copper piping and fixtures in the home. These units will raise the pH of your water to acceptable levels equal to or above 7.0 pH.
Our standard iron filters will have 1.5 cubic foot of birm and feature a time clock, a model 263 Autotrol control valve, bypass valve, and a one inch distributor. If high levels of iron are present, red staining will occur in plumbing fixtures. These units will reduce three parts per million (ppm) of iron to an acceptable level, as long as your water has a pH of 6.8 and above. If your pH is below 6.8, other units are available for use.
When a water sample continuously shows unacceptable levels of bacteria, we recommend the installation of an ultraviolet (UV) water purification systems to remove bacteria from your water using a fluorescent UV light bulb. These residential units come in 7 gallon per minute (gpm), 10 gpm, 15 gpm, and 20 gpm sizes. Bulb replacement for these units should be done once a year to ensure proper disinfection. Optional equipment for these units are solinoid valves and UV intensity meters. Larger commercial units are available with the same features. Be sure that surface water is not entering your well, as the UV sterilizer will only remove bacteria, not contaminants such as nitrates, pesticides, etc.
