We have installed submersible well pumps with horsepowers of 1/3 h.p. through 50 h.p., pumping from 5 gallons per minute to 600 gallons per minute. A typical residential installation would include a 10 gallon per minute pump, schedule 120 PVC 1 inch pipe, PVC twisted electric cable, pitless adapter, water tight cap, 1 inch pipe, wire and conduit between well and house, and an 80 gallon equivalent positive pressure tank.

Deep well jet pumps are two pipe systems with jet assembly and foot valve installed about 100 feet down the well. Our experience with jet pumps is mostly for replacement because submersible pumps pump more pressure at greater depths with less effort.
